Privacy Notice
Last updated: July 1, 2026
This notice explains how personal data is processed when you visit fibich.app or subscribe to the Fibich newsletter.
Data controller
The controller is Antonín Charvát. For privacy questions or requests, contact the Fibich website operator.
Newsletter subscription
When you subscribe, we process your email address, your consent choice, the date and time of registration and confirmation, and technical information needed to document and protect the subscription. We use this data to send occasional Fibich development news and release announcements.
The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. Subscription uses double opt-in, so you are added to the mailing list only after confirming your email address.
Service providers
Newsletter subscriptions and messages are handled by Brevo (Sendinblue SAS), which acts as a processor. The signup form uses Google reCAPTCHA to prevent automated abuse. reCAPTCHA may process technical information and use cookies according to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms.
Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is protected using an applicable legal safeguard, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.
Retention
Newsletter data is retained until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent. Limited information may then be retained on a suppression list where necessary to ensure that you are not contacted again and to demonstrate compliance with legal obligations.
Your choices and rights
Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal. Subject to the GDPR’s conditions, you may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and object to processing.
You may lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ) or another competent supervisory authority.
Website operation
This website is hosted using GitHub Pages, provided by GitHub, Inc. GitHub may process standard server logs, such as IP address, requested URL, browser information, and timestamp, to deliver and secure the website. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in operating a reliable and secure website.
The website uses CounterAPI to maintain simple anonymous visit counters, including daily totals. A session storage flag is kept in your browser for the current day so the same browser session is not counted repeatedly. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in understanding basic website usage without using tracking cookies or profiling visitors.
Changes to this notice
This notice may be updated when the website, newsletter, or service providers change. The current version is always published on this page.
