This notice explains how personal data is processed when you visit fibich.app or purchase Fibich, receive or manage a license, or subscribe to the Fibich newsletter.
Data controller
The controller is Antonín Charvát. For privacy questions or requests, contact the Fibich website operator.
Newsletter subscription
When you subscribe, we process your email address, your consent choice, the date and time of registration and confirmation, and technical information needed to document and protect the subscription. We use this data to send occasional Fibich development news and release announcements.
The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. Subscription uses double opt-in, so you are added to the mailing list only after confirming your email address.
Purchases and license delivery
Paddle is the merchant of record and payment processor for Fibich purchases. Paddle collects the contact, billing, payment, and location information needed to complete the transaction under its Privacy Policy. Fibich does not receive or store your full payment-card details.
To validate a purchase and issue, deliver, support, or reissue a license, the Fibich service processes the transaction identifier, purchaser name and email, requested license name, product and price identifiers, amount and currency, transaction or refund status, and relevant timestamps. These records are also used to prevent duplicate fulfillment and abuse and to apply the published license and refund terms.
The legal bases are performance of the purchase contract under Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, compliance with legal obligations under Article 6(1)(c), and the legitimate interests in securing the service and preventing fraud under Article 6(1)(f).
Service providers
Brevo (Sendinblue SAS) handles newsletter subscriptions, newsletter messages, and transactional license emails. As a processor, Brevo receives the name, email address, and message content needed for delivery. See Brevo's Privacy Policy. The signup form uses Google reCAPTCHA to prevent automated abuse. reCAPTCHA may process technical information and use cookies according to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms.
The Fibich purchase and license service is hosted by WEDOS. It may process standard technical logs, such as IP address, requested URL, browser information, and timestamps, to operate and secure the service.
Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is protected using an applicable legal safeguard, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.
Retention
Newsletter data is retained until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent. Limited information may then be retained on a suppression list where necessary to ensure that you are not contacted again and to demonstrate compliance with legal obligations.
Purchase, license, delivery, and payment-adjustment records are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill and support the license, meet accounting, tax, and other legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud or duplicate fulfillment. Records are deleted or anonymized when they are no longer needed for those purposes.
Your choices and rights
Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal. Subject to the GDPR's conditions, you may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and object to processing.
You may lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ) or another competent supervisory authority.
Website operation
GitHub, Inc. hosts this website through GitHub Pages. GitHub may process standard server logs, such as IP address, requested URL, browser information, and timestamp, to deliver and secure the website. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in operating a reliable and secure website.
The website uses GoatCounter to measure page views and basic website usage. GoatCounter collects aggregate statistics such as visited pages, referrers, browser type, and approximate location. It does not use tracking cookies or browser storage and does not store IP addresses. See GoatCounter's privacy policy for details.
Changes to this notice
This notice may be updated when the website, newsletter, or service providers change. The current version is always published on this page.
